Dr. Oliver Engle grew up in Ponca City, Oklahoma, with his twin brother and two sisters. He was actively involved in Boy Scouts, soccer, cross country, Episcopal Youth Ministries, band, choir, and orchestra. He earned his undergraduate degree in Zoology/Physiology with minors in French and Chemistry from Oklahoma State University in 2003 and received a Certificate of International Studies from the Université Stendhal in Grenoble, France, in 2001. Dr. Engle obtained his DVM from Oklahoma State University, College of Veterinary Medicine, in 2007.
After completing a small animal rotating internship at Central Texas Veterinary Specialty Hospital (2007-2008), He worked as an Associate DVM at Lakeline Animal Hospital (2008-2018) and then as Medical Director and Senior Veterinarian at VCA Lakeline Animal Hospital (2018-2023). He also served as a Relief Emergency Veterinarian at Heart of Texas Specialty and After Hours Veterinary Emergency of Killeen (2011-2022). He has spent the last two years at the Emergency Animal Hospital of Crystal Falls, honing his emergency and surgical skills.

Currently, Dr. Engle lives in Leander with his wife Debbie, their two youngest children, four dogs, one cat, a crested eyelash gecko, and an Irish sport horse. His oldest daughter is married and lives with her husband in Lakeway. His professional interests include soft tissue surgery, endocrinopathies, and ophthalmology of dogs and cats.
